The Ocean Course
The Ocean Course is designed by 4-time Major Champion, Ernie Els with a total of 27-hole golf course overlooking the breathtaking South China Sea. This is the second chapter under The Els Club Malaysia umbrella and the first golf course opened in Desaru Coast back in September 2016.
The course was developed in compliance with strict environmental practices, all the equipment is kept in good condition and clean from any harmful components to human health and Halal standard.
There are Three Nines comprised of the Ridge, Coast and Lakes that offer a unique variability for you to choose any two of the three 9-hole courses on-site. Golfers can play a variety of loops like:
- Lakes & Coast covering 7,335 yards, par 72
- Lakes & Ridge covering 7,337 yards, par 73
- Ridge & Coast covering 7,362 yards, par 73

As for the dress code, golf shoes with soft spikes are compulsory with regular golf attire, including shirts with collars, tailored trousers and Bermuda shorts. No denim, beach wear, tennis wear or training shoes are permitted on the golf course at any time.

During my visit, I only had the opportunity to explore Ocean Course, so I do not have any photos available with me to be shared with you guys for The Valley Course. But still, allow me to share some highlights about Valley Course.
The Valley Course
The Valley Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by Major Champion, Vijay Singh and jointly developed with Ernie Els Design. This course traverses the valleys and streams of Desaru with significant elevation changes that provide the most eye-catching vistas.
For your information, The Valley Course opened in March 2017 as the third chapter under The Els Club Malaysia umbrella and the second golf course opened on Desaru Coast.
This 18-hole championship golf course covers approximately 41 hectares with 187 bunkers. Similar to the Ocean Course, the grass types used are the Bermuda TifEagle greens and Bermuda 419 fairways.

The Els Performance Golf Academy is the first Academy of its kind in Asia and state-of-the-art centre of excellence as the latest effort by Ernie's in sharing his success story across the globe.
It is accessible from both the Ocean Course and Valley Course that giving both juniors and adults an opportunity to learn the game the way it should be played, adopting an individualized approach using the most up-to-date technology, diagnostic and teaching strategies.
This academy features:

When you enroll to this package, you are entitled to access to the Academy Course and practice facilities with golf equipment provided.
The Academy Course comprises The Little Easy which is a 9-hole Par 3 course that offers great fun for the whole family and individuals. It is located adjacent to The Els Performance Golf Academy and the holes range in distance from 50 meters up to 150 meters.
There are 2 sets of tee boxes on each hole and golfers will be able to play the course multiple times from different starting points. Its unique design allows the course to be played in many different directions, which is great for corporate events and team-building programs.
This course is open in September 2016 and measures 1064 years with par 27.
