Spending 4 years studying in Johor Bahru did not give me enough time to explore the beauty of this city. Hence, when my friends invited me for a trip to Johor Bahru recently, my answer to them is always YES, YES and YES.

Every trip gives me a brand new experience and this time around, I have the opportunity to stay at Thistle Hotel Johor Bahru. This hotel is so unique in its appearance just like a staircase and you will have the best panoramic views overseeing the Strait of Johor, and Singapore from the other side of the strait.

Visited Legoland Malaysia During My Stay At Thistle Hotel Johor Bahru

Now, let us explore the room option available in this hotel and you will definitely find the best option to cater for your need during your stay. Here at Thistle Hotel Johor Bahru, there are a total of 382 fully-refurbished guestrooms that offer both City View and Sea View.

There are three different room types available which are the Deluxe Room and Executive Room with both views options available and the Suite Room includes Family Suite, Junior Suite, Thistle Suite and Royal Suite.

During my stay, I had the Deluxe Sea View Room and just look at the room, it is so spacious at 36m2 that can pleasantly accommodate up to a maximum of 3 guests at a time. I personally love the comfortable bed and pillow that allows me to sink my head to enjoy quality sleep after a long day.

On top of that, the full-height window is one of my favorite too as it gives me an opportunity to sit back on the sofa and enjoy a cup of coffee while appreciating the unobstructed views this hotel had to offer.

Just make a cup of coffee or tea with the basic amenities provided in the room and it is complimentary to your stay, free water bottle drinks, flat-screen TV for you to enjoy some entertainment and ironing facilities are provided upon your request.

You can enjoy complimentary FREE Wi-Fi too, so this hotel really a perfect choice for both leisure and business trips.

You won't have a chance to feel hungry as well since this hotel has a total of four (4) in-house restaurants namely Fresh, Glass, Oasis and The Hive. But in this entry, I will be sharing about my dining experience at Glass as I had the opportunity to enjoy my meals upon arrival.

Glass offers a culinary feast of both local and international cuisine that has unparalleled views across the swimming pools and landscaped gardens, and it is definitely enjoyable to dine here.

This dining area is open to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6.30 A.M. to 10.30 P.M. with a total of 60 seats available with social distancing during this post-pandemic period.

Glass Offers Both Local and International Cuisine

I had two wonderful dining at Glass during my 2 Days 1 Night stay. First, my hi-tea during check-in while waiting for the room to be ready. I ordered Club Sandwich and Classic Fish and Chip, just look at the portion served here.

The portion is really generous and I am truly satisfied with the taste too. This makes me look forward to the breakfast and lunch served here on the next day.
