If you told me five years ago that coffee would become the heartbeat of Selangor's tourism scene, I might have chuckled over my Matcha Jasmine Latte.
But here we are today in 2025, and coffee isn't just a beverage but it's as movement. And nowhere is this more evident than at the Selangor Coffee Festival (SELCOFF) 2025 that is held from 17 to 19 October 2025 at The Curve, Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

As someone who's always had a soft spot for local flavors and community-driven experiences, I knew I had to be there. And let me tell you, SELCOFF wasn't just a festival, it was a full-blown celebration of culture, creativity and caffeine.
First Sip: Entering The Coffee Wonderland
The moment I stepped into The Street at The Curve, the air was thick with the aroma of freshly brewed beans. It was like walking into a dreamscape for coffee lovers.
Booths lined and each representing a unique coffee brand from Selangor's nine districts. From Klang's bold espresso blends to Hulu Langat's floral-infused cold brews, the diversity was astounding.

A Global Gathering
What made SELCOFF 2025 truly special was its international flair.
Coffee artisans from Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, and beyond brought their best brews and techniques to the table.

This event serves as a melting pot of ideas, flavors, and friendships, a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation sharing and the introduction of new coffee technologies and brewing techniques within the regional coffee community.

One of the most electrifying moments was the ASEAN Barista Championship.

Now, take a moment to picture this where baristas from across Southeast Asia battling it out in a high-stakes showdown of latte art, speed brewing, and signature drinks.
The Latte Art Competition is the moment where we got to see some of the region's best baristas competing and sharing expertise, offering invaluable exposure and learning opportunities for local talents.

The crowd was electric, cheering on their favorites like it was the World Cup.
It wasn't just about skill but it was about storytelling through coffee.
Music, Movement & Magic
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the festival transformed into a vibrant night market-meets-concert venue.
The stage lit up with performances by Aizat Amdan, Bunga Isme, and Tam Spider, each bringing their unique sound to the crowd.

I found myself swaying to the rhythm, coffee in hand and surrounded by strangers who felt like friends as we unite together as one, Malaysian.
In addition, the festival also feature a free pickleball court open to the public.

What struck me most about SELCOFF 2025 was how it seamlessly blended gastronomy, lifestyle and tourism.
It wasn't just about promoting coffee plus showcasing Selangor's soul. The festival is aligned beautifully with the Visit Selangor 2025 theme, "Selangor Kan Ada", reminding us that everything we seek whether it is flavor, fun or friendship, is all right here in Selangor.

With over 30,000 visitors expected, the festival proved that coffee can be a powerful tourism driver.
It brought together F&B professionals, young entrepreneurs, baristas and curious tourists in one shared space of discover here at Selangor Coffee Festival 2025.
This festival will serve as a key platform to showcase Selangor's homegrown coffee brands to regional and global audiences, while strengthening the state's position as a hub for coffee culture and lifestyle tourism in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. said Chua Yee Ling, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor.
To me, I felt the scent of gratitude to be part of this memorable event, exploring SELCOFF 2025 is not just an event but a journey through taste, culture, and community.
