| Two (2) Out Of Five (5) Zone In Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast |
There are a total of five (5) zone available in this water park and the rides and attractions are designed to excite the adventure seeker while leaving plenty of choices for gentler pursuits that cater to families with younger children.
The zones are Penawar Falls, Penawar River, Shipwreck Reef, Tidal Wave Beach and Kids Ahoy.
Shipwreck Reef Zone
Since it is home to the first water-coaster in this region, the Kraken's Revenge is the first ride that I took during my visit.
Kraken's Revenge located at Shipwreck Reef offers a combination roller coaster and splashing flume ride that takes thrill seekers up to 30 meters before spinning through a full 360 deg horizontal loop, followed by a diving 27-metre drop to the shipwrecking Kraken sea monster waiting in the pool of water below.

Penawar River Zone
Next zone, we visited Penawar River where there are several exciting rides here that will cause you to have an adrenaline rush for sure. It is perfect for 2 up to 4 pax rides.
For the first ride, we took "The Tempest" ride which allows you to experience two high-energy funnels and a sudden 24-foot drop creating a high-banking swing with a 55-foot tube slide in the middle.
Next to 'The Tempest' is RIPTIDE and here, you will be swept away at the steepest angles and fastest speeds giving an unparalleled feeling of weightlessness.
The 'Wild Whirl' will hurtle you down a steep entrance channel, then shoot into a wide-open bowl high on the wall for peak thrills. You will then rafts and slow down as you move to the centre drop cute for a quick and exciting exit. You can have peace of mind as the water jets will send the rafts effortlessly into the patented CorkScrew and down a tunnel into the splash pool below.
Super Twister is also another exciting ride where you will cruise through radius curves before an unexpected drop into a funnel, then exit back into the enclosed tunnel and onto the next set of exciting curves and funnels.
After all these adrenaline rush slides, you can chill in the long, looping lazy river that floats through amid lush greenery of riverbank and riverside fishing village scenes with four popular giant slides that I shared above. This is the Penawar River.
In this zone, there are Penawar River Huts that spread across the sand-lined Penawar River that are available for you to rent for your own personal and private use. The rental (RM 180 each for a maximum of 2 guests) includes a combo meal and it is on a first come, first served basis. So, be quick if you don't want to miss it.

Penawar Falls
Penawar Falls Zone supposes to be the first zone to visit as it is right in front of the entrance to the park. However, during my visit, the Swinging Ship is under maintenance. This is everyone's favorite ride and it is also perfect for youngsters to enjoy the ride together with their parents.
This replica pirate ship arches up to 180 degrees in both directions to give you the best experience ever. One tip, just shouts out loud and it will make you really enjoy the ride.
Kids Ahoy Zone
To the right-hand side of the entrance, it is the Kids Ahoy Zone and Tidal Wave Beach at the end of this route. This zone is the kids' favorite zone with three attractions available here.
The Scallywags allow toddlers, young children, tweens and early teens to enjoy this play area with water play equipment.

Tidal Wave Beach
Before I end my trip at Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast, I make the last tour at the Tidal Wave Beach! This man-made beach is home to one of the biggest wave pools in the world holding more than four million gallons of water over nearly three acres. Amazing, right?
Along Tidal Wave Beach, there are Beachside Cabanas that allow you to relax in luxury while enjoying the wave pool view or lounge along the 170-meters long sandy shoreline.
Similar to the Penawar River Huts, these cabanas are on a first come first served basis too and the rental (RM 300 each up to a maximum of 5 guests) includes the use of a safety box, combo meal, drinks, snacks and merchandise within the cabana.
