KL Bird Park Welcomes You and Your Family Again After MCO 2.0

March 24, 2021

 Dear Readers,

KL Bird Park Is Now Open To The Public Again With Strict SOP Starting 5th March 2021 After MCO 2.0

I believe every travelers like me are excited with the good news announced by the government when attractions are now ready to open to the public but of course everyone needs to obey the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) highlighted by Ministry of Health (MOH). Our team, gang #KiteJalan grab the opportunity to visit and re-create great memories together while exploring KL Bird Park.

This was my second time visiting KL Bird Park, so if you would love to know more about this park which I have summarized in my first posting, you can refer to My First Visiting Experience At KL Bird Park.

KL Bird Park is operating with strict SOP, so you can have peace of mind while you visiting the park with your family or your loved ones. Starting from the main entrance, you will need to check-in your MySejahtera, scan your body temperature and also sanitize your hand. Oh yes, wearing face mask is a must before entering the park. Also, you are encourage to sanitize your hands frequently.

After all clear, then you can proceed to the Ticketing Counter after clearance at the Checkpoint Counter. During your visit, you are encourage to observe the social distancing as well with one another, especially with different group of visitors.

The first thing that I normally do when I visit an attraction is to follow up with the staffs about the on-going activities especially on the timing and also the location of each activities. Following the brochure that given to us by Mr. Taufik, the first activity that we can join is the Free Flying Bird Feeding that will happening daily at 10.30 A.M. located at Zone 1 just next to the Brahminy Land.

During this feeding session, you will be able to take super close-up pictures with those free flying birds in this park. Well, you can see that they are more concerns about their foods than your appearance that close to them.

Other than this Free Flying Bird  Feeding session, there are Hornbill Feeding (Hornbill Park) at 11.30 A.M., Bird Show (Amphitheatre) that happens twice a day at 12.30 P.M. and also 3.30 P.M., Eagle Feeding (Brahminy Land) at 2.30 P.M. and Milky Stock Feeding (Waterfall Aviary) at 4.00 P.M.

There is a Daily Activities board located in the middle of the park for your reference as well.

Besides those activities that scheduled on specific hour, there are day-long activities as well such as the Bird Photography (Photo Booth) from 9.30 A.M. until 5.30 P.M. As for the Ostrich Feeding (Flightless Birds) and Lory Feeding (World of Parrots), the activities starts at 10.00 A.M. until 5.00 P.M.

I believe that you are now aware that KL Bird Park is the one of the world's largest covered bird park with their most prominent feature that the birds are let free in the aviary that closely resembles their natural habitat and the birds here are able to breed naturally in this environment.

Since there are birds that let free and you can take picture in closer distance, please be aware of your own safety as well as do not create any harms toward the birds in the park too.

If you would love to learn more about the bird in many other aspects, you can visit the Education Station that located nearby to the Flightless Birds section.

Before we ended our trip at KL Bird Park, we visited the Peacock and Hornbill Gift shop followed by having great lunch at the Hornbill Restaurant and Cafe. For your information, this restaurant opening hours will be at 9.00 A.M. until 8.00 P.M and open daily.

Hornbill Restaurant And Cafe

There is a separate QR Code for MySejahtera for this restaurant, so remember to scan to check-in yourself here just to avoid any inconvenient caused. As usual, when we visit a restaurant or cafe, we will try our best not to order the same dishes so that we will be able to try variety of foods and beverages served.
Foods By Hornbill Restaurant and Cafe At KL Bird Park
So, this time around I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu and I believe not many restaurants in Kuala Lumpur that serve this dish. Surprisingly, it tasted so good, fresh and juicy. I really love the black pepper sauce too.

To be honest, I never feel disappointed with the foods and beverages served here even I'm just dine here for the second times only. I would say the foods here are at the top quality in term of tastes, presentation and also the prices are pretty reasonable as well.
