Welcome to KL Bird Park

I believe it has been awhile for all Malaysians were not able to explore the local attractions due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) since early March 2020. Good news to be shared with all of you that KL Bird Park is now ready to welcome you and your family again to spend good quality time together.

The Introduction of KL Bird Park

KL Bird Park is known as the Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur which is currently recognized as the world's largest covered bird park. It is also home to more than 3,000 local and foreign birds with approximately of 200 different species.

The park is divided into 4 zones where Zone 1 and 2 make up the free-flight zone, Zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and Zone 4 is where the birds are placed in separate cages and mini aviaries.  The most prominent feature is that the birds are let free in the aviary which closely resembles their natural habitat and they are able to breed naturally in this environment.

Operating Hours and The Activities

As the park is open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm daily including Public Holiday and School Holiday, remember to reach the park as early as possible as the line of activities starts at 10.30am. During my visit, I was able to join the Hornbill feeding and the Bird Show. I was so mesmerized by the shows especially the Hornbill feeding as this is the very first time that I have the closest encounter with this species that was so close to my heart as a Sarawakian.

  1. Certain bird species can create concerns for people when they inhabit an area in close proximity to residential or commercial properties. Bird droppings and nesting material can create many health and safety concerns, a considerable loss of product, plus an increase in maintenance costs. Getting rid of birds can be a real problem for any business or homeowner.https://www.hawkeyebirdcontrol.co.uk
