With the total filming cost of RM 8 Million and approximately 100 days of filming across several locations at Perak, Pahang, Melaka and Selangor, Mat Kilau Kebangkitan Pahlawan will be released in all Malaysia cinemas nationwide on 23rd June 2022.

Mat Kilau Kebangkitan Pahlawan is a biography movie about an epic Malay warrior Mat Kilau together with Tok Gajah and other warriors who rose up to fight against the British colonization in the year of 1892.
The British colonizers came to occupy the lands in Pahang and racked the riches of this land for their own goods. Things got worse when British colonizers started to interfere with the religion and customs of the Malays.
Not allowing the British to continue being rude and oppressive toward the people, Mat Kilau, Tok Gajah and his friends have risen up against the British colonizers. The ingenuity of Mat Kilau and Tok Gajah in planning the resistance had caused the British colonizers to suffer from massive stress and resulting in major losses during the fierce fighting.

For your information, there are many historical records about the wisdom and courage of Mat Kilau that was acknowledged by the British colonizers. Mat Kilau had a great influence on the society during that time in evoking the spirit of defending the dignity of Malays and the sovereignty of the land of Pahang.
There is even a historical record from the British side capturing the details about the great movement led by Mat Kilau had caused great destructions and losses to the British.

Premiere Screening Of Mat Kilau
Just one week before the official screening of Mat Kilau Kebangkitan Pahlawan on the 23rd June 2022, Studio Kembara held the premiere screening on the 16th June 2022 located at GSC The Starling Mall. It is indeed one of the biggest premiere screenings for this year held by Studio Kembara Sdn Bhd.
After 5 years of producing the film which started the filming process in 2018, the entire production team is glad that the movie has been well accepted, especially from all the invited guests and friends of the media. For the record, our Malaysia former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad also attended the session to show that this film did received attention from various parties.
Studio Kembara is very grateful and touched by the positive and encouraging responses received from various parties including the media and invited guests who have attended Mat Kilau Kebangkitan Pahlawan premiere screening. Tuan Haji Abdul Rahman Mt Dali concluded.

I personally think that Mat Kilau Kebangkitan Pahlawan deserved a full point of 10 out of 10. This action-packed movie has its own class and I believe this is one of the best biography films to showcase the story of our national warrior during the British colonization back in the year 1892.
From the start till the end, the movie really caught my attention and I feel like I do not have time to breathe, the excitement and story built up is so perfect, flawlessly arranged and nicely done. But the part that I do not expect at all while watching this movie that is so packed with action is the tear shedding part. Not once, but twice that it is so emotional!
Since it is classified as P13, it is really recommended for everyone from all walks of life to come and watch this movie once it is officially released on the 23rd June 2022 at all Malaysian cinemas nationwide.
