Langkawi Must Visit - Langkawi Wildlife Park

 Dear Beloved Readers,

If you and your kids are an animal lovers and would like to explore more about them, this is the place that you definitely need to visit when you are here in Langkawi. I was so excited when I knew that Langkawi Wildlife Park will be included in the traveling itinerary this time.

However, I have a feeling that this park is just a place where I'm there just to see those animals sitting in their cage, having their own personal time. But this visit proof me so wrong with this expectation. It was an eye-opening tour where I can have super-close encounter with the animals in the park, and I can even fed them with their favorite foods. That's was amazing, right?

Langkawi Wildlife Park
Langkawi Wildlife Park is located at Jalan Ayer Hangat, just 15 minutes away from Kuah, 30 - 40 minutes away from Langkawi Airport or Pantai Cenang. Sprawling across 5.5 acres, this park is a lovely home to 150 species of animals, also featuring a walk-in aviary with a 15-metres man-made waterfall that resemble the natural habitat of each species.

The highlight of my visit was the crocodile feeding where I was given a chance to fed the crocodile with the food dangled at the end of the fishing line. Although this was my second time, but the experience was invaluable.

Oh yes, remember to purchase the Animal Food packs so that you don't miss out the experience of feeding them while you exploring the park. It's really mind blowing that you will see how these animal only pick up their favorite foods from you, sound picky right? Fret not that you feed them with the wrong pellet because every corner of the cage, there is information placard setup with the details including the diet of each animal.

Feeding and Fun Time Schedule

Have you ever feed Koi fish with baby bottle? This new way of feeding the Koi seem to be successful to attract attention from visitors of all ages. I have not seen this before and maybe this is the only park in Malaysia that you can experience this. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, besides as a new attraction, the main reason of feeding Koi with baby bottle is to control the water pollution caused by the excessive fish pellets threw by the visitors into the pond.

Before we ended our visit here, we visited a crystal store where extensive displays of rare crafted and raw crystal ornaments that originated from Brazil and China. You can know more about the crystal's curative and therapeutic properties as well from the friendly staff. There is a souvenirs store just right after this crystal store before you exit back to the park. This is the place where I bought my colorful peacock as memorable souvenirs.
