BananaBro CSR Campaign 2023 For 500 Homeless Individuals In Kuala Lumpur

Today, 16 December 2023 marked another memorable event for BananaBro, Malaysia's everyday curry place and banana leaf powerhouse fed 500 homeless individuals in Kuala Lumpur as their continuous support towards a hunger-free world. 

For your information, this was the culmination of BananaBro's Zero Hunger initiative that began in September this year when they collaborated with Sunway University. 

At BananaBro, we embrace the UN's goal of "Ending hunger and ensuring access to safe, nutritious food for all people" by 2023. In collaboration with Sunway University and engaging with SESO, we take pride in sponsoring the event through our initiative "Buy 1 Craving Set, 1 Craving Set goes to charity". By uniting our efforts, we are sowing the seeds of a hunger-free world and forging a path toward a brighter, nourished future. BananaBro Local Action For Global Goals

The first phase saw BananaBro set up a booth in Sunway University with the primary objective of selling 500 "Buy 1 Craving Set, 1 Set Craving Set goes to Charity" vouchers. During the campaign, a total of 248 vouchers were sold. 

Phase 2 of the initiative unfolded with customers redeeming their Craving Sets at BananaBro's Sunway Pyramid outlet within the stipulated 2-month period followed by today's food distribution. 

BananaBro fulfilled its promise to feed the 500 homeless individuals that were there today despite only selling 248 vouchers during Phase 1 of this initiative by making up the difference.

BananaBro has collaborated with SESO, a reputable non-governmental organization (NGO) actively working with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) to provide food for the homeless in and around Kuala Lumpur.

This collaboration is indeed the right decision made to ensure the success of this noble cause by BananaBro. 

SESO's involvement added an extra layer of credibility to BananaBro's commitment, reinforcing its dedication to positively impacting in the community.
