I am always thrilled when it comes to traveling around Indonesia as each city that I visited offers me unique and different experiences. This time around, I was excited that finally I have the opportunity to visit Jakarta, Indonesia.
All thanks to Koko Sinyo for making this trip happen, especially on the ground arrangements and indeed it is one of the most memorable trips together.
This time around it is just a short 4 Days 3 Nights (4D3N) Jakarta trip and I had one wonderful night stay at Yuan Garden Pasar Baru and another two nights in another hotel which I will share it in next entry. So, stay tuned okay?

| Arrival At Soekarno-Hatta International Airport |
The journey from Kuala Lumpur International Airport II (KLIA 2) on an AirAsia flight took approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes with the arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, while the journey the from airport to Yuan Garden Pasar Baru only took us about 30 minutes depending on the traffic.
There are many other options for you to travel from the airport to the city but I decided to take a Grab ride since it is the most convenient transport mode for me, but bear in mind that some of the cities do have a very strict airport transfer. Thankfully, it was a smooth one and easy to find the pick-up point for Grab at this airport. It cost me around Rp 183.500 (~ RM 50) which I consider reasonable.

Jakarta is further split into five (5) administrative cities/municipalities which are Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta and North Jakarta with one administrative regency which is the Thousand Islands.
Yuan Garden Pasar Baru is strategically located in the heart of Central Jakarta that is near Medan Merdeka Square, the home to the government district, surrounded by a few shopping malls and a variety of dining options available within walking distance.
It has good connectivity as well since Juanda Train Station is situated just a block away from the hotel and famous attractions like the Istiqlal Mosque, known as the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and sixth in the world in terms of the worshipers capacity, and the remarkable Jakarta Cathedral is also known as The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption are just a few minutes walking distance away.

Alright, that little bit of insight about the location of Yuan Garden Pasar Baru. Now, let us explore more about the room and facilities available within the hotel premise. During my one-night stay, I had the opportunity to experience the staycation in the Suite Room and which is one of the five (5) room types available in this hotel.

This suite room offers an affordable yet luxurious stay with comfort and privacy as your top priority. There is a chic-style living room equipped with a spacious work desk at the end corner that is perfect as I can work comfortably without any distractions, especially with the complimentary Wi-Fi connection.

You can have extra privacy as the bedroom, living room and bathroom are separated by wooden sliding doors. The bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed covered with exquisite linen duvets with comfortable plush-down pillows that allow me to enjoy my good night's sleep.
There is a safe deposit box provided in the room with bathrobes provided, just so enjoyable during the stay. However, iron and an ironing board are not provided in the room. I go for the ironing service which costs me around IDR 80,000 for 3 pieces with satisfactory services.

Another favorite of mine during the stay is the stunning attached bathroom just next to the bedroom. The bathroom is so spacious with a separate toilet from the standing rain shower and a generous soaking tub that offers a magnificent city view.
I personally admire this bathroom the most looking at the space and comfort it has to offer. There is another LED TV placed just right in front of the bathtub where you can enjoy the entertainment while resting in the wonderful soak, just perfect especially after another long tiring day.
If you are a person that needs another extra minute to get ready, you will like the sink and mirror in this bathroom. It is huge and spacious, hence you won't need to wrestle with one's another while getting ready.

Next, let us explore the in-house dining option which is located at the 7th Floor of Yuan Garden Pasar Baru. None other, but the Wood 1820 which is open all day that offers authentic Asian, Western and Indonesian cuisine served at the Culinary Theater station and buffet dishes.

During my stay, I had my breakfast here and undoubtedly, Wood 1820 is known to serve one of the best breakfasts in town with an extensive buffet menu which includes pop-up station serving a variety of eggs, waffles and pancakes cooked to order.

I also had my lunch buffet before departure from Yuan Garden Pasar Baru. This is the time for me to try the local authentic sambal and ulam-ulaman. It gives me an extra kick of flavor to excite my taste buds.
I can call it a complete lunch buffet with the spread served from appetizers to main courses and absolutely perfect to end my dining with the thirst-quenching desserts and beverages.
